Abstract

This study examines the dialectical relationship between syntactic analysis (I’rab) and rhetorical exegesis (al-Tafsir al-Bayani) through an analytical reading of selected texts from the Hadith and the Quran. It proceeds from the hypothesis that the multiple syntactic possibilities inherent in the Hadith do not constitute a purely grammatical phenomenon, but rather exert direct influence on the interpretation of rhetorical meanings within the Quranic discourse. Adopting a descriptive-analytical methodology, the study employs the tools of linguistic and syntactic analysis to examine how syntactic choices shape semantic interpretation and generate polysemy. The findings reveal a profound complementary relationship between syntactic analysis in the Hadith and the rhetorical exegesis of the Quran, demonstrating that syntactic analysis opens new semantic horizons that enrich the rhetorical understanding of Quranic text. These findings affirm the indispensable role of syntactic analysis as an interpretive instrument in Quranic studies.
